Who we are
FollowChannels is an independent directory of public WhatsApp Channels. Not affiliated with WhatsApp or Meta. This policy explains what we store about you and why.
What we collect
Channel submissions. If you submit a channel we store the link, name, topic, country, language and description you give, and — only if you give it — your email address so we can reply. There are no user accounts.
Public channel data. For listed channels we read the channel’s public page on whatsapp.com (its title, description, profile picture and, where shown, follower count and verified mark) and keep a copy of the profile picture to show on our pages. We never join, message or read the content of any channel.
Messages you send us. The contact form stores the name, email address, topic and message you submit so we can reply.
Payments. Featured placements are paid through Heleket. We never see wallet keys or crypto credentials. We store the order, the email you gave, the amount, status and dates Heleket reports.
Technical data. We use IP addresses briefly, in memory, for rate limiting to stop abuse of forms.
Cookies
Visitors get no cookies. The only cookie is the admin session cookie for our own staff. We may count visits with self-hosted, cookie-less analytics that store no IP address and respect Do Not Track.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with providers needed to run the service: our hosting provider, an email provider for replies, and Heleket for payments.
How long we keep it
Submissions and contact messages are kept while we need them for the directory and support; payment records as long as needed for accounting.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, for it to be corrected, or for it to be deleted — including the removal of your channel’s listing. Contact us. Depending on where you live you may also complain to a data protection regulator.
Children
This service is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
